Laoise Murphy is a Chartered Physiotherapist with a strong background in both high-performance sport and private practice. She holds a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy from the Institute of Technology Carlow and went on to complete her degree in Physiotherapy at Northumbria University, UK.
Laoise predominantly works within musculoskeletal settings and has extensive experience managing a wide range of injuries across both clinical and elite sporting environments. She has worked as a Senior Physiotherapist with the Professional Squash Association (PSA), providing care to world-class athletes at major international events across the United States, Singapore, and Egypt. Her role involved injury assessment, treatment, and courtside management at the highest level of competition.
In addition to her clinical work, Laoise is a fully qualified Pilates instructor, certified in both mat and reformer Pilates. She delivers tailored sessions in both one-to-one and group settings, with a focus on rehabilitation, movement quality, and performance.
Laoise has also worked as a Senior Physiotherapist in an exclusive ski resort, where she provided comprehensive assessment, rehabilitation, and Pilates-based care to clients presenting with a diverse range of injuries and biomechanical needs.
Alongside her clinical career, Laoise is currently a lecturer at Portobello Institute on the BSc Sports Therapy programme. She is deeply passionate about education, mentoring, and continuous professional development, and is committed to sharing her knowledge to support the next generation of therapists.
