OsteoFit Reformer Pilates 2

OsteoFit Reformer Pilates

OsteoFit is a specialised 8-week Reformer Pilates programme designed for individuals living with osteoporosis, osteopenia, or low bone density. Every class is carefully tailored to provide a safe and supportive environment, avoiding aggressive or high-impact movements while progressively building strength, stability, and confidence.

Research has shown that slow, progressive resistance training can play an important role in supporting bone health. Throughout the programme, resistance is introduced in a controlled manner using the Reformer and additional weights where appropriate. Exercises are often performed in supported positions, such as sitting or lying, allowing you to safely challenge your muscles while reducing unnecessary strain.

A key focus of the programme is balance and stability. As we age, maintaining balance becomes increasingly important in reducing the risk of falls and helping to preserve independence. Each session incorporates exercises that improve coordination, posture, and body awareness, with progressions tailored to your individual ability so you can continue to develop strength, control, and confidence at your own pace.

Alongside your exercise sessions, our experienced team provides practical education on bone health, helping you understand the importance of strength training, nutrition, movement, and healthy lifestyle habits for long-term wellbeing. By the end of the programme, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to continue your journey through our maintenance classes, membership options, or one-to-one Physiotherapy and Reformer Pilates sessions.
