Senior Chartered Physiotherapist

Marie qualified with a first class honours BSc Physiotherapy from University of Limerick in 2011. She also received an award for best final year project from the ISCP for her research on Multiple Sclerosis.

Marie has spent the last eight years working across the spectrum of acute, rehabilitation and community based services within the field of Neurology and Gerontology in Ireland and Singapore. During this time she has worked with clients with conditions including stroke, brain injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, dementia on an individual and group basis.

In 2016, she completed an MSc in Neurology and Gerontology with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She completed her MSc thesis on exercise post stroke.

Currently Marie is working as the Senior Physiotherapist on the Cork Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team. Marie continues to research in the areas of neurology and gerontology and has presented at national and international conferences and is involved in providing placements to undergraduate and postgraduate physiotherapy students.

Marie joined MaxPhysio in 2019 and provides specialised treatment for clients with neurological and age related conditions.
