Lucia Wilson
Lucia Wilson
Reformer Pilates Instructor
Lucia is a proud mother of two beautiful girls, and family always comes first for her. She spent the last three years working with the National Ambulance Service, a role she absolutely loved, but she decided to change her career path for a while. Qualified as a personal trainer and fitness instructor since 2016, Lucia has continued to expand her skills, most recently qualifying as a neuromuscular therapist. This new qualification sparked her interest in becoming a Reformer Pilates instructor, and when she saw an opportunity with Max Physio, she couldn’t wait to start this exciting new venture.
In addition to teaching for Max Physio in Carrigtwohill, Lucia also runs her own personal training and therapy business, all while managing a busy family life. Her husband is in the Defence Forces and is currently serving overseas. Despite her packed schedule, she loves the energy and variety in her life and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Before becoming a personal trainer, Lucia worked in various industries, from management at Amazon to sales at Harvey Norman. She even took some time out to tour with the Irish dance show “Celtic Steps,” as Irish dancing has always been a passion of hers. Lucia grew up competing in All-Ireland and World Championships, and now, she enjoys watching her daughters begin their own Irish dancing journeys. One of her future goals is to complete her Irish dancing teacher training and perhaps open her own school someday.
Personal Interests:
Lucia is passionate about adventure races, with the Quest Adventure Series being her favourite. She loves travelling with her husband and kids, trying new foods, and going on family adventures. In her spare time, she enjoys playing music and dancing whenever she can.
Philosophy:
Lucia believes that it’s better to explore life and make mistakes than to play it safe. She feels that even in failure, there is something positive to take away – it means you’ve tried something new and moved one step closer to becoming the person you aspire to be. Her message is simple: enjoy life, take some risks, and embrace the lessons that come with the journey.
Fun Fact:
Lucia drives a motorbike, and one of her favourite things to do with her husband is to ride their motorbikes to Douglas, grab some KC’s, and head to Ringaskiddy to enjoy it by the pier!
