Shane O’Connor is a dedicated Chartered Physiotherapist and proud member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP). He graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and has since built a reputation for delivering professional, evidence-based care with a strong focus on patient outcomes.
Shane has completed advanced training with leading international specialists, including shoulder rehabilitation with Adam Meakins and hip rehabilitation with Mehmet Gem, giving him expert insight into complex musculoskeletal conditions. He is also qualified in dry needling and shockwave therapy, which he integrates into treatment plans to accelerate recovery and manage persistent pain effectively.
Shane is also a qualified Reformer Pilates instructor and is active in Clonakilty and Skibbereen with weekly classes as well as 1-1’s in clinic.
Approachable, professional, and results-driven, Shane combines clinical expertise with a genuine commitment to helping his patients restore movement, reduce pain, and return to the activities they value most.

Philosophy or Approach:
Shane has always been keenly interested in health, sport and how the body works and as such likes to focus on holistic treatment intervention as much as possible.
Fun Fact:
Shane used to be a Civil/ Structural Engineer, but after a few years in practice he realised that working on a laptop all day wasn’t for him. Based on his interest in science and health he soon made the jump into the world of Physio!
