A keen athlete herself, Amy has 8 years of experience treating a wide range of sporting injuries, and is particularly passionate about supporting women to return safely back to activity after childbirth.
She is originally from Belfast and holds a MSc in Physiotherapy (pre-registration) from Teesside University and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Glasgow. She began her physiotherapy career in the NHS, gaining experience in stroke, elderly, cardiac and surgical rehabilitation before transitioning to private practice. In 2020, Amy relocated to Queenstown, New Zealand, where she worked in private practice, managing a diverse caseload of both sporting and occupational injuries. In 2025, she relocated to Cork and has been enjoying supporting the community to achieve their rehabilitation and performance goals
Amy thoroughly enjoys integrating Pilates into her clinical approach to reduce pain, decrease injury risk and improve athletic performance. She combines this with manual therapy, strength-based rehabilitation and patient education to deliver patient-centred care.
Outside of work, she is a keen ultra-runner, completing two 100km events in 2024. Amy is a qualified ski instructor and loves to mountain bike. She also plays field hockey with a local club.
