Your body goes through many changes throughout life, from pregnancy and postpartum recovery to menopause and beyond. At our three women’s health physiotherapy clinics in County Cork, we provide expert care to support your pelvic health, core strength, and overall well-being. Our specialist physiotherapists offer tailored treatments to address concerns such as pelvic pain, postnatal weakness, and musculoskeletal discomfort during and after pregnancy.
Whether you’re managing bladder leaks, recovering from surgery, or experiencing neck, shoulder, or low back pain due to pregnancy or postpartum changes, our compassionate, one-to-one physiotherapy can help. We focus on restoring function, reducing discomfort, and helping you regain confidence in movement.
At every stage of life, you don’t have to accept discomfort as ‘just part of life.’ Our team is here to support your journey to better health with expert care designed for women’s unique needs.
Leading our service is Aoife Greene, a highly experienced women’s health physiotherapist with a background in sports injury, manual therapy, and pelvic health. She has worked with elite athletes and in top healthcare settings across Dublin, Reading, and London, bringing a wealth of expertise to her practice.
Over the past four years, Aoife has developed a strong passion for pelvic health therapy, specialising in both women’s and men’s health. Her expertise includes pessary fitting (pessary fitting service coming soon to MaxPhysio), along with tailored treatments to support long-term recovery and well-being.
Aoife’s approach centres on you, using joint decision-making and personalised goals to help you overcome challenges, restore function, and achieve self-management.
Our specialist services designed to help you feel your best every day:
Menopause can impact bone health, cardiovascular health, muscle mass, and balance. However, with the right physiotherapy support, these effects can be managed and even slowed. Our expert physiotherapists assess your individual needs and create a tailored treatment plan to help you maintain strength, stability, and overall well-being.
For those affected by breast cancer and lymphedema, specialist physiotherapy techniques like manual lymphatic drainage and targeted exercises can promote lymph flow, support protein absorption, and reduce swelling. Our team are here to guide you through effective treatments to improve comfort and mobility.
Pessary fitting is a non-surgical, reversible treatment option for managing pelvic floor conditions such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, and certain bowel issues. At MaxPhysio & Pilates, our expert Women’s Health Physiotherapist will assess your pelvic anatomy, discuss your symptoms, and help you find the most comfortable and effective pessary to support your needs. This soft, medical-grade silicone device is inserted into the vagina to support pelvic organs, improve bladder and bowel function, and reduce symptoms that may limit daily activity. We provide full education on pessary care and offer ongoing support, including follow-up appointments to monitor fit, comfort, and vaginal health.
